    Two brothers of the English Haseltine family, Robert and John Haseltine, joined a company known as the Puritans, with about sixty other families altogether led by the Reverend Ezekiel Rogers. They were expelled on June 6, 1638 from the Rowley Parish Church in Yorkshire County, England where Rogers had served the parish since November 21, 1620. Part of the company, about twenty families and Reverend Rogers, then sailed from Hull, now called Kingston-On-Hull, England on the ship "John of London" to America, landing at Salem in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay Colony in America on December 1, 1638.
 
ROBERT HASELTINE:  Born in Knedlington, Howden, Yorkshire, England, bapt. 02 January 1609/10 in Howden, Chr. 15 February in Bradford Cathedral, Bradford, Yorkshire, came to America with his brother John in 1638 from Hull, Yorshire on the ship John of London, landed at Salem, MA.  d. 27 August 1674 in Bradford, MA. buried in Old Burial Ground, farmer, ferry-keeper, and selectman of Merrimack, MA., later named Bradford, m. 23 December 1639 in Rowley, MA. Anna Langley (first couple married in Rowley (Bradford), b. ca.1618 in Rowley, d. 26 July 1684 in Bradford.  Robert took the Freeman's oath on May 13, 1640.
Children:  Anna, Mercy, David, Mary, Abraham, Deliverance, Elizabeth, Deliverance(2), Robert and Gershom.
